Privacy policy

Updated November 7, 2026. StreamBantr combines your live chats and provides wireless OBS scene controls. Contact the operator, Stephen Grubbs, at conyers0184@gmail.com for support or privacy requests.

Information used to provide the service

When you connect Twitch, YouTube or Kick, we receive your platform account/channel identifier, display name and authorization tokens. We use these only to identify your linked accounts, read their live chats and send the messages you choose to send. Tokens are encrypted in private server storage. We do not receive your platform password.

The service temporarily processes chat text, authors, identifiers, timestamps, emote references and delivery status. This includes messages from viewers participating in your connected channels. Chat and event records are scheduled for deletion after six hours; send-deduplication records after 24 hours. Cleanup runs periodically, so deletion can follow the expiry by several minutes. Linked accounts are retained until disconnected or deleted. Device sessions expire after 30 days. Browser sessions last up to eight hours; pairing codes expire after ten minutes, and one-use app access codes after five minutes.

You can also sign in using Discord. We request only its identify permission and store your Discord user identifier and display name as a login method; we do not retain its access token, request email, add a bot or read Discord messages. Your chosen StreamBantr profile name and device names are stored with your account.

Information on your device

The app stores its device credential and your OBS connection settings using Android Keystore encryption. OBS traffic goes directly between your device and the OBS server you choose on your local network; your OBS password is not sent to the StreamBantr website. OBS's standard local WebSocket connection is not encrypted in transit. Connect only on a trusted home network.

Sharing and service providers

We use OVHcloud hosting and the Twitch, Google/YouTube and Kick APIs. Sending a message shares that message and the associated platform identity with the destination you select. Emote images load from the relevant platform's image servers, which receive normal network information such as your IP address. StreamBantr does not sell user data, serve ads, use advertising identifiers or include an analytics SDK. Google API data is not used to train AI models.

StreamBantr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Platform services have their own privacy policies.

Security and operational records

The website uses HTTPS. Browser cookies keep you signed in and protect account actions. The server uses short-lived rate-limit records based on hashed network addresses. Hosting access/security logs may record request metadata for operation and abuse prevention; hosting backup and log retention may differ from live database retention. Keep app access codes private because they can sign a browser into your StreamBantr account.

Your choices and deletion

In the app, open Settings → Delete account, or visit the account deletion page. After authentication and confirmation, your StreamBantr account, tokens, paired devices, access codes and stored chat records are removed from the live service. This does not delete your Twitch, YouTube or Kick account or messages held by those platforms. You can also revoke the application's authorization in each platform's account settings. For deletion assistance or information about operational logs/backups, contact the support address above.

Children and changes

StreamBantr is not directed to children under 13. Users must meet each connected platform's age requirements. Material privacy changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
